Quality standards
Soybean quality is regulated by DSTU 4964:2008, which defines maximum allowable quality limits without class division. Key parameters include moisture, impurities, damaged seeds, and infestation. In international trade, GAFTA contract specifications are used, which also consider protein and oil content.

About culture
Soybean is one of the key oilseed crops worldwide and a major source of plant protein. It is widely used in food production, animal feed, and industry for oil, biodiesel, and other products. Ukraine is an important producer and exporter of soybeans.
Planting and care
Soybean is a warm-season crop that requires sufficient moisture and fertile soils. It has the ability to fix nitrogen through symbiosis with bacteria, reducing the need for nitrogen fertilizers. Cultivation includes weed control, pest protection, and proper variety selection.
Harvesting
Soybeans are harvested at full maturity when moisture content reaches optimal levels. Delayed harvesting can cause pod shattering and yield loss. After harvesting, the grain is cleaned and dried if necessary for safe storage.
